The presenter covers the history of the wide field of languages spoken in Kansas, highlighting non-English speaking populations not yet covered in the symposium's previous presentations. The presenter uses the distribution of spoken languages to a crazy quilt: a quit with patches varying in shapes, sizes, patter, colors, and fabrics.
