Description

This session will be part presentation and part discussion. In the world of educational technology, we continually hear about the latest technologies that are supposed to revolutionize our online classrooms. In reality, though, interaction in most online classrooms continues to be delivered through an old technological standby: the online discussion board. Teachers and students alike report being overworked and underwhelmed by the interaction that takes place on these boards. In this session we'll strive to identify best and worst practices when using discussion boards in the hopes of putting real discussion back into the online classroom.
