Emily S. Lee's New Book, "A Phenomenology for Women of Color"
Abstract
Robb Scott, a co-editor of C2C Digital Magazine, studied and read closely Emily S. Lee's new book, "A Phenomenology for Women of Color," and has reviewed what he considers the key aspects of Lee's argument, concerning definitions of race and three features -- perception, experience, and embodiment -- which enable a reader to understand and learn from what it means to have an identity determined by both gender and race, as well as to realize the value of communicating (and learning, changing, and growing) across cultural differences.
