Abstract

The importance of relationship centered student advising in higher education for advising staff as well as faculty is highlighted in this timely article, and is linked to the realm of distance education. Relationship-centric advising is identified as essential in promoting student resiliency through the building blocks of self-efficacy and emotional intelligence.
